The Texas Breastfeeding Coalition and the Texas Association of Local WIC Directors sponsor the annual Hellen Sullivan Scholarship in memory of a TXBC founding member and former Texas WIC director.
The scholarship will reimburse the $695 IBLCE examination application fee for one eligible recipient after documentation of the paid fee and verification of passing the examination during the 2026 calendar year.
Applicants must be current individual TXBC members or employees of TXBC organizational members. TXBC and TALWD board members are not eligible. Applications will be reviewed for eligibility, available funding, and compliance with the International Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes.
The recipient must remain active with TXBC and participate on a task force or committee for two years.
